Stefan Varga and senior
Hailey Matthews have been named the Summit League's Peak Swimmers of the Week following three school records broken between the pair at the A3 Invitational in Carbondale Ill., it was announced today.
Varga takes his third Summit League honor of the season, finishing with the top times in the Summit League in the 100 back (47.96), 50 back (22.19) and 200 back (1:46.92). The Stockholm, Sweden native split impressive times in the relays with a 20.18 in the 200 free relay and a 44.24 in the 400 free.
Matthews earned her first Summit League honor of 2024-25 after she set top Summit League times in the 500 free (4:53.95), 200 back (1:59.82) and 100 back (54.80). The Edgewood, Colo. native also finished with the fastest relay split of the season in the Summit League in the 100 fly (54.48). She was also top three in the conference in the 200 free (1:50.06) and 200 fly (2:03.69).
Stefan and Hailey finished the weekend climbing the conference charts and showing they are serious contenders for gold medals at the Summit League Championships," head coach

Omaha Swim and Dive are back in action when it travels to Brookings, S.D., to take on South Dakota State on Friday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m.
