Men's Golf finishes 5th in inaugural Tommie Invitational

STILLWATER, Minn. - Omaha men's golf finished fifth Tuesday in the two-day 54-hole Tommie Invitational, hosted by St. Thomas. The first iteration of the event featured eight teams.

North Dakota State won the event's team title. Ian Simonich of the Bison won the individual title.

Nolan Johnson and Spencer Clatt represented the Mavericks in the top 10, finishing fifth and six, respectively. Johnson finished two-over and Clatt finished +4 on the week.

Clatt and Johnson had the low round of the week for the Mavericks with each shooting a 69 on Monday. Clatt carded the score in the first round and Johnson in the second.

Omaha's fall season continues next week with the Throw Down Up Top hosted by South Dakota from Oct. 7-9 in Homer, Neb.
