Mavericks to Host Chicago State and Continue Home Stand

    The Omaha Mavericks are set to host the Chicago State Cougars for a 1 p.m. matinee game on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Mavericks continue the three game home stand following their first win of the season Monday.

» Reese earned All-Summit League honorable mention honors. He started in 14 games and helped post five shutouts, and held opponents to a 1.44 goals against average. 
» Omaha added 10 newcomers during the off season, replacing nine Mavericks from the prior year. 
» Tied games will result in a draw following regulation. Overtime will not be played in the regular season.

Digging In
Scouting the Chicago State Cougars
    The Cougars come to Omaha with a 2-1-1 record. Chicago last played Belmont, where the game concluded in a 1-1 draw. The Cougars finished the 2022 season with a 1-13-3 overall record and 0-8 conference record.

Cougars to Watch
» Calwayne Allen and Danail Sergiev have both recorded five points and are tied as team leader in points. They have both recorded two goals and one assist.
» Donat Juhasz leads the Cougars in assists with three.

Cougar Goalkeeping
    Lucas Fontana has been the only keeper to see action this season. He holds a .611 save percentage and a 1.75 goals-against average after only allowing seven goals and making 11 saves. He'll enter the weekend's match with a 2-1-1 record.

Series History
    This will be the first time the two teams will matchup.
