Omaha, Neb. -- The Omaha Mavericks recorded their second shutout of the season with a 1-0 win over the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros. In an almost scoreless game, the Mavericks found the back of the net for a late lead.
With their second shutout, Omaha improves to 3-3-1 overall record.
How It Happened
• In the opening minutes of the game, a Maverick turned the ball over in the box giving the Vaqueros a wide open shot on net.
Nathanael Sallah made a huge save in the corner of the box to ensure the Mavericks wouldn't have to play a goal down.
• Sallah made three big saves in the first 45 minutes.
• The Mavericks got in three shots on goal before the half concluded 0-0.
• The Mavericks had some good looks on goal but were struggling to get it to the back of the net.
• In the 72nd minute,
Mathis Pilon St-Louis took a shot that blocked by a Vaqueros. On the deflection,
Junior Casillas took a one time shot and found the back of the net for the lone goal of the night.
• At the end of the 90 minutes the Mavericks shutout the Vaqueros 1-0.

• The Mavericks out-shot the Vaqueros 15-5 and led shots on goal 6-5.
• Omaha allowed five corner kicks and were only allowed two in the 90 minutes.
• Each team was given 3 yellow cautions, and the Mavericks were called for 18 fouls compared to UTRGV's 16.
