Des Moines, IA. -- The Omaha Mavericks finished the match against the Drake Bulldogs in a 2-2 draw. The Mavericks started off strong with a two goal lead early in the first half but couldn't find the go-ahead goal in the second half.
With their first draw of the season, the Mavericks now hold a 2-3-1 record.
How It Happened
• In just the second minute of the match,
Wawa Palga drew a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick for the Mavericks.
Theo Klein took the kick and found success with his shot, giving the Mavericks an early 1-0 lead.
• In the ninth minute Palga, in the box, connected his pass to
Ede Gramberg who fired a shot to the back of the net. His goal put Omaha up 2-0.
• The Mavericks gave up their first goal in the 11th minute, making the game 2-1.
• In the 43rd minute the Bulldogs were given a corner kick opportunity and found the back of the net off of it, tying the game 2-2.
• Just about a minute after the game was tied,
Luke Smith was given a red card, putting the Mavericks down a man for the remaining 47 minutes of the match.
• Despite being a man-down in the second half, the Mavericks held the Bulldogs to just five shots on goal, and fought to keep the game tied.

Gonzalo Cuevas was able to get a shot in during the 63' minute.
• The Mavericks had possession for 40% of the second half, and was able to keep it in the attacking zone for 34% of that time.
Inside the Box
• The Mavericks were out-shot 16-4 and trailed shots on goal 10-2.
• Omaha was not allowed a single corner, compared to the Bulldogs six in the 90 minutes.
• Gramberg extended his scoring streak to three games.
• Palga also extended his assist streak to three games.
