Omaha Travels To North Dakota State

The Basics
The Mavericks take their second to last road trip of the regular season this week. Omaha heads up to North Dakota State to tipoff the action with the Bison. The teams will get after it at 7 p.m. in Fargo. Both are looking to rebound following two losses last week.

Quick Hits
• The Mavericks returned home to Baxter Arena last week and played host to St. Thomas and Western Illinois. 
• Omaha held a 12-point lead in the second half over WIU before the Leathernecks clawed back for a three-point win.
JJ White led Omaha with 16 points after returning to the starting line-up. Ja'Sean Glover flirted with a double-double finishing with nine points and a career-high nine rebounds.
• The second half saw 11 lead changes before the Tommies narrowly escaped with an 89-83 win.
Frankie Fidler exploded for a season-high 33 points. It marked his third career game cracking above 30 points in a game. He did it twice last year, which included a career-high 37 points at North Dakota.
• The Mavericks nearly upset the Golden Eagles and their perfect home record last week. Omaha held the lead with 3:36 left in the game before ORU used a 10-0 run to capture the win.
• Despite the loss, Fidler and Marquel Sutton put on top-notch performances for the Mavericks. Fidler recorded his third double-double of the year with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Sutton added 17 points. 
• Against the Golden Eagles, Luke Jungers made his first career start. He was one of three freshmen in the starting line-up.
• Thursday's game at Kansas City came down to the final possession before Omaha fell by three.
• Fidler and Tony Osburn scored 12 points each and were the lone Mavericks in double-figures. Fidler nearly had a double-double with seven rebounds.
• As a team, Omaha is shooting 77 percent from the free throw line. The Mavericks continue to rank in the NCAA's top-15 coming in at no. 12 this week.
• Leading the Mavericks at the line is Fidler. He's shooting 87.3 percent ranking 34th in the country.
• Fidler also leads Omaha's offense scoring 13.7 ppg. He is 11th overall in the league. Fidler is also 11th in the Summit with 5.9 rpg.
• Head coach Chris Crutchfield has a 17-25 overall record. It marks his second season as a head coach and first with the Mavericks.

Scouting the North Dakota State Bison
The Bison enter the week at 9-15 overall. They're tied fifth in the Summit League standings with Kansas City as both teams are 6-6. NDSU dropped both games last week and look to rebound with a win on its home court where the Bison hold a 5-4 record this year. NDSU is fourth in the league averaging 72.8 ppg overall. The Bison are averaging 73.8 ppg in league only contests, which ranks second behind Oral Roberts.

Grant Nelson does it all for the Bison. He leads the team with 17.3 ppg, which ranks sixth in the league. Nelson also leads NDSU with 8.4 rpg,16 steals, and 33 blocks. Nelson is on a five-game double-figure scoring streak. He dropped a season-high 36 points two weeks ago vs. North Dakota. It was his third game with at least 30 points. 

David Richman is in his ninth season with the Bison. He's compiled a 168-112 overall record at the helm.

All-Time Against North Dakota State
The Bison lead the all-time series history 51-31. They picked up a 78-65 win over the Mavericks at Baxter Arena earlier this season. White and Glover tallied 16 points each.
