Omaha, Neb.-- Omaha's Darby Drake has earned her fourth TicketSmarter Peak Performer Honors as the Female Diver of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. 

"I'm happy for Darby and I know she's honored every time she's been recognized by the Summit League this season," said diving coach Eric Sprague. "I believe this is her fourth time being awarded the TicketSmarter Diver of the Week so far this year and it's an impressive accomplishment when you consider how good her competition is within the league."
 
"There are a couple of dives Darby could have performed better against SDSU and she was texting me before the weekend was over asking to get some extra work on those.  I love seeing that kind of motivation and determination.  We've got one competition this semester when we travel to St Thomas Saturday and I'm looking forward to seeing Darby and the rest of our divers continue our process."

Drake earned her fourth first-place finish on the 1-meter against South Dakota State. She finished the 1-meter portion with a final score of 247.70. On the 3-meter, Drake claimed second with a final score of 236.75. 

With this new weekly honors, Drake is now the only Maverick in program history to garner four in a single season. 

Drake and the Mavericks will head to St. Thomas for another Summit League dual on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.
