Mavericks Close Out Regular Season with a Home Match Against Oral Roberts

The Omaha Mavericks prepare to close out the regular season with a home contest against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles this Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. This game will be a rematch with the Golden Eagles as the Mavericks saw them earlier this season in Tulsa where ORU recorded the win 5-2.

Quick Kicks
    • The Mavericks return to Caniglia with a 6-6-4 overall record on the season, and a 3-2-2 conference record.
    • Omaha comes off a 2-1 win over Western Illinois and picked up their first road win of the campaign. 
    • The goal that got the game started against the Leathernecks was scored by Ede Gramberg, assisted by Martin Lago and Junior Casillas. With a quick response back, the game was tied at the half, but with a penalty kick award to the Mavericks they had a chance to get pull ahead in the second. Theo Klein lined up for the kick and found the back of the net, making it a 2-1 game in the Mavericks favor.

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles are 9-3-3 overall and 4-1-2 in Summit League play. On the season the Golden Eagles have scored 36 goals (2.40 goals per game) and kept their opponents to just 13 goals (.87 goals per game). ORU averages 18.4 shots per game and the defense holds the opposing team to just 8.9 shots a game.
