The Omaha Mavericks are set to travel to Denver for a midweek match against the Denver Pioneers on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. Omaha will be back at Caniglia Field this Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. for a rematch with the Kansas City Roos.

Scouting the Denver Pioneers
This matchup against Denver will be no walk in the park. Denver has held a spot at the top of the conference since Summit League play has started. Denver has an impressive 7-2-4 overall record and a 3-0-1 conference record. The Pioneers are on a two game win streak after back-to-back 1-0 shutouts over Kansas City and Western Illinois. Denver has scored 24 goals off 145 shots for a .166 shot percent, while holding opponents to just 13 goals.
Pioneers to Watch
• Sam Bassett will be one to watch for, as he leads the team in points (19), assists (5), and shots (28). He's second on the team for goals with seven.
• Oje Ofunrein leads the Pioneers with his eight goals. Having only taken 16 shots, he holds the highest shot percent (.500).
