The Basics
Omaha looks to go 2-0 on the week with a Saturday matinee vs. North Dakota State. The Mavericks and Bison tipoff at Baxter Arena at noon. They both earned wins in Thursday's action. Omaha erased a nine-point deficit to beat North Dakota by five, while NDSU earned a 20-point win over Denver on the road.

• Omaha rebounded from it St. Thomas loss with a home win vs. North Dakota earlier this week.
Frankie Fidler and
Marquel Sutton led the Mavericks to the win with near double-doubles.
• Fidler recorded 17 points on 5-of-12 from the field with one three-pointer and 6-of-6 from the line. He grabbed eight rebounds, tallied two assists, two steals, and one block.
• Sutton added 16 points and recorded a career and team-high nine rebounds.
• Omaha shot over 50 percent from the field for the fifth time this season. Against the Fighting Hawks, the Mavericks went 27-of-50 to shoot 54 percent. The team's season high is 58.8 percent from the field set against Midland back on Dec. 13.
• Fidler is now on a seven-game double-figure scoring streak. During this stretch, Fidler scored 21 points at Western Illinois helping the Mavericks snap a 22-game road skid.

• Following the win at WIU, Omaha headed north to St. Thomas. Despite the loss to the Tommies, four Mavericks found success from the field. Fidler led the team with 19 points and nine boards, while White fell shy of his career-high by one point with 17.

Ja'Sean Glover performed for his home crowd scoring a career-high 11 points. He added four rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Luke Jungers scored 10 to complete the double-digit scoring efforts.
• Success from the free throw line continues for Omaha. As a team, they Mavericks are shooting over 78 percent ranking ninth in the nation. Fidler is shooting 92.5 percent ranking eighth in the NCAA.
• In Summit League contests, the Mavericks are averaging 74.3 ppg ranking fourth behind Kansas City by just a tenth of a point.
• Omaha leads the league shooting 48.2 percent in conference action with the help of Fidler and Sutton who rank in the individual top-10.
• Jungers has made an impact from three-point range for the Mavericks. In conference play, he is 16-of-29 shooting 55.2 percent. It's the second best three-point percentage in the league.
• Head coach
Chris Crutchfield has an 17-20 overall coaching record. It marks his second season as a head coach and first with the Mavericks.
Scouting the North Dakota State Bison
North Dakota State got off to a rough start this season going 2-8 over the first ten games. The Bison rebounded and sit at 7-11 overall and 4-2 in league play. They're currently on a four-game win streak after beating North Dakota, South Dakota State, South Dakota, and Denver. NDSU is just ahead of Omaha in the league leaderboards ranking fifth with 71.6 ppg.
Grant Nelson leads the Bison scoring 16.1 ppg, which ranks fifth overall in the Summit League. He's on a nine-game double-figure scoring streak and has only missed the 10-point mark twice this year. Nelson scored a career-high 35 points at Western Illinois, which is tied third on the league's single-game highs list. Nelson also leads the Bison with 7.9 rpg. He has three double-doubles this year and added a career-high 16 rebounds to go with his 35 points against the Leathernecks.
David Richman is in his ninth season at the helm. He has compiled a 166-108 overall record with NDSU.
All-Time Against North Dakota State
The Bison lead the all-time series, 51-31. NDSU barely made it out of last season with two wins against Omaha, 71-67 and 71-64.
