Omaha hosts league rival No. 13 Denver this Saturday at 3 p.m. Both teams earned wins in their league openers last weekend. The Mavericks downed the Leathernecks, 2-0, while the Pioneers shutout Oral Roberts, 1-0. Omaha and Denver are two of four Summit League teams that remain undefeated in league play.

• Omaha beat Western Illinois in its league opener last weekend. The Mavericks shutout the Leathernecks 2-0 in Macomb.

Kenji Mboma Dem notched his second game this season with at least three points. Mboma Dem scored the game winner in the 36th minute and assisted on

Lute Lillo Portero made his season debut in goal for Omaha last weekend. He tallied four saves and earned the shutout at WIU. It marked the second shutout this season for the Mavericks.
SCOUTING THE DENVER PIONEERS
Denver enters the week ranked at No. 13 in the United Soccer Coaches poll with a 5-2-2 overall record. The Pioneers split last week's action with a 1-0 shutout vs. Oral Roberts and a 2-1 loss to Oregon State. Denver has wins vs. Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Maryland, and UC San Diego this season. Prior to the season kicking off, the Pioneers were tabbed the Summit League preseason favorite.
PIONEERS TO WATCH
• Sam Bassett leads Denver with 10 points this season on four goals and two assists. Bassett opened the year on a three-match scoring streak with a goal vs. Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, and Maryland. Bassett added an assist vs. Maryland for a three-point performance.
• Ian Smith is second on the team with six points this season. He has a pair of goals and assists. He tallied a goal and assist in each of the first two matches this season.
• Isaac Nehme has logged every minute in goal for the Pioneers. He's tallied 16 saves so far this year and posts a .78 goals against average having allowed only seven get past him.
SERIES HISTORY
The Pioneers lead the all-time series 8-2-2. The Mavericks earned wins in back-to-back seasons vs. Denver. Last year, Omaha downed the Pioneers 2-0 for the first road victory in the mile high city.
