OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha men's soccer added five players to the 2022 roster. The five players are made up with two junior transfers and three true freshman.
"We're really excited about the quality student-athletes we've been able to add to the fall roster," said
Kyle Deremer, interim head coach. "We were able to add some experience with a pair of transfers while also tapping into some young skill that we will be able to develop and continue to grow our program."
Kyle Reese | Defender | Junior | Olathe, Kan.
Reese is a transfer out of Kansas City. He appeared in 11 matches as a sophomore and made nine starts last year. Reese helped the Roos to two shutouts. Prior to Kansas City, he played two seasons at Johnson County Community College. In 2021, he was tabbed the National Defender of the Year. He also earned All-Kansas First Team accolades and All-Region/Mid-Plains District Second Team honors. Reese attended and played at Olathe South and also played at the Sporting KC Academy prior to his junior college career. As a senior, Reese helped his team to a runner-up finish in the state tournament. With the academy, Reese made it to the USSDA playoff semifinals.
Theo Klein | Midfield | Junior | Strasbourg, France
Klein is a transfer from Central Methodist. He appeared in 21 matches in the 2021 season, notching 10 goals and six assists. In 2020, Klein scored six goals in 11 matches. Originally from Strasbourg France, Klein previously attended Jean-Monnet.
Brayden Kramer | Midfield | Freshman | Lincoln, Neb.
Kramer is a four-year letterwinner out of Lincoln Southwest. As a senior, Kramer earned the 2022 Lincoln Southwest Golden Boot Award with 17 goals on the year. He was also tabbed HAC All-Conference, Lincoln Southwest Most Outstanding Player, Omaha World Herald Nebraska Class A All-State Second Team, and Nebraska Second Team Super State. In his junior year, Kramer helped his team to a city championship, conference championship, and undefeated regular season (13-0). They earned a trip to the state semifinals. He was named an All-State honorable mention and All-City. Kramer also helped his team to a district championship in his debut season at Lincoln Southwest. Kramer played for Gretna Elite Academy. They were four-time state champions and made six state championship appearances.
Jacob Green | Midfield | Freshman | Orlando, Fla.
Green played four years at the Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy in Florida. Green was a regular starter for SIMA during his career, notching multiple goals and assists in each of his seasons with the Academy. He is originally from Montreal, Canada.
Ede Gramberg | Forward | Freshman | Berlin, Germany
Gramberg played club with Energie Cottbus in the German A-Junioren-Bundesliga League. He logged 1,110 minutes last season and led the team in scoring, eventually being named team MVP. They placed second in the national first division. Gramberg also played at Havemann high school. As a sophomore, they won the SLZB national championship.
