After beating Oral Roberts on Friday, Omaha's bats went silent during its final home series.

The Mavericks (23-26) didn't score over the final 22 innings against the Golden Eagles (33-16) over the weekend at Tal Anderson Field, suffering shutout losses in their last two home games of the season.

Isaac Coffey and Kaleb McCullough blanked Omaha on three hits in a 9-0 ORU victory in the series finale on Sunday after Ledgend Smith and Cade Denton held the Mavericks to four hits in 11 innings Saturday.

Coffey (6-5) got all of the run support he needed when Jake McMurray homered on the second pitch of the game from Charlie Bell (4-5). The score then remained 1-0 until the Eagles broke away in the sixth.

Joshua Cox hit a two-run triple off Bell to highlight a five-run outburst. Oral Roberts then tacked on a run in the seventh and two more in the eighth to cap the scoring while limiting Omaha's offensive chances.

The Mavericks, who had no extra-base hits over the final two days, managed only three singles in the game. The last came from Mike Boeve in the ninth, which extended his hitting streak to 25 games.

Devin Hurdle and Drew Reetz had the other hits for Omaha, which faces Minnesota on Tuesday before finishing the regular season with a series at St. Thomas.

The Mavericks fell to 12-9 in the Summit League with Sunday's loss and sit in fourth place entering the final weekend. They can finish no higher than third, but they've already qualified for the league tourney.
