Omaha is running out of time to put itself into position to make the league tournament.

The Mavericks, picked to finish third in the Summit League preseason poll, are still sitting in a tie for fifth with two matches remaining following a 7-0 home loss to conference-leading Drake Saturday evening.

The Bulldogs, still unbeaten in the Summit, claimed the doubles point with a pair of tight victories before sweeping all six of the singles matches. All but one of those singles victories were decided in two sets.

Omaha faces preseason league favorite Denver on Sunday, April 10, in its home finale before wrapping up the regular season at Oral Roberts.

The top four teams in the final standings qualify for the league championship in Omaha on April 22-23.
