Matt Hulme picked up Omaha's lone win in a 6-1 loss to Stetson on Sunday.
After dropping the first set to Diogo Marques at No. 1 singles, he bounced back to take the second set before winning a tiebreaker in the opening match for the Mavericks in their spring trip to Florida.
Omaha will face North Florida on Monday at 10 a.m. in a match that was moved up a day due to rain.
On Sunday, the Hatters claimed the doubles point with decisive wins in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots.
Stetson also took the first three singles matches that finished to clinch their victory.
Hugo Piles Ballester also rallied for force a tiebreaker at No. 4 singles in the final match of the day.
