Warming Announces Four New Additions To Men's Soccer Squad

OMAHA, Neb. – Head men's soccer coach Bob Warming announced the signing of four Mavericks to the 2022 squad. All four signees joined Omaha at the start of the spring semester and will compete in the spring season.
 
They join 17 returning Mavericks.
 
Gonzalo Cuevas
Defender | Santiago, Chile | Pucalan Montessori
Cuevas is a transfer from Iowa Western where he played two seasons. He appeared in 18 matches and made 14 starts during his career. Cuevas helped his team to the championship match in 2020 and won the national championships in 2021. He tallied two assists and finished with 10 shots, including eight on goal. The defender helped his team post 14 shutouts.
Cuevas on Omaha: "I chose Omaha because I like the vision of the program. The coach showed me the facilities and the field, and I really liked all that the school has to offer."
 
Will Curtis
Forward | Denver, Iowa | Denver Senior High
Curtis was a two-sport athlete playing both basketball and soccer. He earned two letters as a soccer player for Denver Senior High. Curtis set the school record with 45 goals scored as a senior. He also holds the school assist record. Curtis scored the most goals in the state of Iowa helping earn the Iowa Sports Award. He also played club ball for Vision Soccer Academy where he was a four-time state cup winner.
Curtin on Omaha: "I chose to transfer to Omaha to pursue my goals at the Division I level and beyond. I'm excited to have the opportunity to become the best version of myself that I can be."
 
Zander Glynn
Defender | Overland Park, Kan. | Blue Valley Southwest | Kansas City/Iowa Western
Glynn is a transfer out of Kansas City. While with the Roos, Glynn appeared in 17 games and made 14 starts. In his freshman season, Glynn recorded three shots and logged the most minutes on the pitch for a field player. Glynn got his start at Iowa Western. He was named a team captain in 2020 and helped his team to a fourth-place finish in the 2019 national tournament.
Glynn on Omaha: "I came here because I want to win the Summit League and play in the NCAA tournament. I also love the city of Omaha, and I can't wait to play at Caniglia against some of the best teams in the country."
 
Mathis Pilon St-Louis
Forward | Mascouche, Montreal | Montverde Academy | American International
Pilon St-Louis played 18 games making 16 starts at American International before transferring to Omaha. While there, he recorded 10 goals and one assist. He finished with 56 shots, including 24 on goal. He earned First Team All-Northeast 10, All-Rookie, and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team honors.
Pilon St-Louis on Omaha: "I came to Omaha for the opportunity to play at the highest level! I'm excited to get to work and compete with this team."
