SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Summit League announced its 2022 men's soccer All-Academic Team Wednesday afternoon. Lute Lillo Portero represents the Mavericks on the 110-man squad.

Portero's accolade is on the tails of a CoSIDA Academic All-District nod earlier this year.

Portero made nine starts in goal for the Mavericks logging over 760 minutes. He allowed just five goals in that stretch for a .59 goals against average. Portero made 21 total saves, including a season best five saves vs. Denver on Oct. 1. Portero earned All-Summit Second Team honors this season.

The junior goalkeeper boasts a 3.90 GPA as a computer science major.
