BOZEMAN, Mont. - A hot first half of shooting separated the Bobcats and Mavericks Saturday night. Montana State took its second straight win on their home court over Omaha, 82-54.
The Mavericks fall to 3-8 overall.
Omaha Leaders
Jaeden Marshall scored a team-high 14 points on 6-of-10 from the field. He added two boards and an team-best three assists.
Marquel Sutton also reached double-figures with 10 points. He crashed the glass for five boards.
Montana State Leaders
Three players scored double-figures for the Bobcats, They were led by Great Osobor off the bench with 18 points on 7-of-9 from the field. RaeQuan Battle fell just short of a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Jubrile wrapped up the double-digit efforts with 10 points.
Team Leaders
The Bobcats shot just shy of 50 percent from the field, while the Mavericks connected on 42 percent of their attempts. Omaha made three from deep, while Montana State made 11 from the arc.
Montana State took advantage of 17 Omaha turnovers converting them to 24 points. They also held an advantage in the paint (34-26), in second chance points (13-7), on the fast break (10-4), and off the bench (39-27).
Inside the First Half
Fidler opened Saturday's action with the first points of the night with a jumper, but the hot streak started right out of the jumpball for the Bobcats. Darius Brown, Battle, and Tyler Patterson went 3-for-4 in the opening three minutes for a quick 9-4 lead. Marshall got Omaha within three with Omaha's first triple of the game at the 15:59 mark.
With 12:47 to play in the first half, Robert Ford sunk another three for Montana State. It sparked an 8-0 run for their first double-digit lead of the game.
Luke Jungers broke the streak with a layup at the 10:54 mark, and he hit the final Omaha three of the night with 8:39 on the clock, but it was the last field goal for Omaha before the 1:20 mark. Fidler and Marshall scored on back-to-back possessions to end the half, but Montana State led, 46-26.
Inside the Second Half
White and Sutton got the second half of scoring started with back-to-back buckets in the paint for Omaha. The Mavericks chipped away in the early minutes and cut the lead to 15 following a three-point play by Marshall at the first media timeout.
Midway through, the Bobcats used an 11-2 run to take their largest lead of the game at 26 points with 8:06 to play. The lead got to 30 with a three by Battle and layup by Lecholat with under three to play. Layups by

Ja'Sean Glover helped Omaha keep it under the 30-point threshold, and the Mavericks lost, 82-54.
