Three Players Score in 4-1 Win at Southern Indiana

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Mavericks exploded for three second-half goals leading to a 4-1 win over Southern Indiana Saturday night. Theo Klein led Omaha with a career-high two goals scored.

With the win, Omaha improves to 5-4-1 overall, 2-1-0 in the Summit League.

How It Happened
  • The Screaming Eagles put three shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of action and netted their third attempt for a 1-0 lead. Ryan Nevins found the back of the net at the 9:34 mark on an assist from Ednilson Voiles and Zach Barton.
  • Omaha responded with three shots on target before Klein finally struck on the fourth shot and pass from Kenji Mboma Dem at the 38:48 mark. The match went to halftime tied, 1-1.
  • Klein scored in the opening minutes of the second half to tally the game-winner. Luke Smith set Klein up for the second goal and Omaha led 2-1.
  • Mboma Dem added to his point total in the 58th minute. This time with a goal on an assist from Tevin Rochester.
  • It was Rochester's turn next in the 64th minute on an assist from Klein.
  • USI couldn't place another shot on goal before time expired, and the Mavericks won, 4-1.
