Six Players Score Double-Figures in Win vs. North Dakota

OMAHA, Neb. - Six players scored double-figures for the Mavericks in their 98-82 win vs. the Fighting Hawks Thursday night. Frankie Fidler led Omaha with a team-high 16 points as the Mavericks put up a season-high. It also marked Omaha's second straight win on their home court.

With the win, Omaha improves to 3-12 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Leaders for Omaha
Fidler led Omaha with 16 points on 7-of-9 from the field and two three-pointers. Felix Lemetti was a close second on the Omaha team with 15 points, while Darrius Hughes added 14 off the bench. Kyle Luedtke was 4-of-5 from the field with three from deep to add 13 points. Marco Smith scored 12, while Nick Ferrarini posted 11.

Smith recorded a career-high seven assists on the night. Hughes grabbed a game-high seven boards, and Dylan Brougham blocked two shots.

Leaders for North Dakota
Matt Norman scored a game-high 20 points on 6-of-13 with three three-pointers. Tsotne Tsartsidze added another 13 points, while Ethan Igbanugo and Brady Danielson scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. Danielson match Hughes' game-high with seven boards for UND. Three different Fighting Hawks tallied three assists each.

Team Stats
The Mavericks shot nearly 63 percent in the first half to finish 55.1 percent from the field for the game. They connected on 10-of-21 three pointers. The Hawks shot just 44.1 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from long range.

Omaha's bench outscored UND's, 44-29. I was a tough battle in the paint with the Hawks narrowly edging the Mavericks, 42-40.

Inside the First Half
The first seven minutes of the first half saw five lead changes before a layup from Akol Arop at the 13:44 mark swung the lead in Omaha's favor for the remainder of the game. Following the layup, the Mavericks went on a 12-3 run extending their lead to 24-16 with a little over 10 minutes left to play. Danielson cut Omaha's lead to five with a three-pointer at the 5:42 mark, but a Brougham dunk on the other end of the court sparked the Maverick offense.

An 8-3 run capped by a Fidler layup blew the lead back open to double-figures with three minutes left in the half. Fidler and Smith scored four straight points to end the half. Mavericks led, 52-40.

Inside the Second Half
Smith and Lemetti opened the half scoring the first eight points to make it a 20-point Maverick lead. Smith hit a jumper and three on back-to-back possessions, while Lemetti's three forced a UND timeout. A few minutes later, Lemetti struck from deep again to spark a 15-2 Omaha run giving the Mavericks their largest lead of the game at 33 points. At the 11:33 mark, Fidler hit a transition three-pointer to hit a 33-point lead for the second time on the night, while Luedtke's three two minutes later made it for the third time.

The Fighting Hawks connected on a few late layups and jumpers in the paint to put a dent in the Omaha lead, but the Mavericks held on to win, 98-82.

Noting Tonight's Game
-Omaha' 98 points was a season-high. The previous high was 84 in Omaha's win vs. Western Illinois.
-Thursday marked the first time this season that six Mavericks scored double-figures.
-Fidler extended his double-figure scoring streak to four games.
