Inside the First Half
Arop put the first points on the board of the game helping Omaha to an early 4-2 lead with another layup from Lemetti. Arop made it 6-6 with 16:42 with another battle in the paint before the Pioneers responded with a 14-0 run sparked by a Michael Henn three-pointer. Nick Ferrarini put two away at the charity stripe to break a scoreless streak that spanned over four minutes. On Omaha's next trip down the floor, Ferrarini cut Denver's lead to 10 with a pull up jumper.

The red-hot shooting Pioneers pulled back away from the Mavericks with another 10-0 run over the next three and half minutes. Smith's free throws at the eight-minute mark snapped the second double-figure Denver run. Smith and Dylan Brougham connected on buckets down the stretch, but Denver took a 49-24 lead at the break.

Inside the Second Half
The second half was much more competitive with the Mavericks putting up 39 points. Arop grabbed an offensive board and put it back up for an easy lay in at the 19:23 mark to cut the Denver lead to 26. A few possessions later, Darrius Hughes battled inside for the next four Omaha points to take the lead down to 25 points.

The Mavericks cut it to 25 two more times before the first media timeout of the second half, but it would be the closest Omaha would get. The Pioneers and Mavericks traded baskets down the stretch, but Denver put a few more on the board to take a 94-63 win.
