OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball team has been selected as an Academic Top 25 Team, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
"I am so proud of our team's performance in the classroom," said head coach
Carrie Banks. "Their commitment to academics while balancing the rigors of being a college athlete is remarkable."
Omaha was tabbed at No. 11, holding a 3.69 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. The Mavericks tallied a team GPA over 3.6 in both semesters in 2020-21 and have gone three consecutive semesters with a team GPA over a 3.5.
