FARGO, N.D. – Omaha's season came to an end in the Summit League Championship as the top-seeded South Dakota State took two games over the Mavericks. The Jackrabbits cruised to a 9-0 win in five innings for game one and snuck out a close contest in game two, 4-2.

Taylor Johnson were named to the All-Tournament team following the games.
The Mavericks finish the year 20-28 overall.
Game 1: South Dakota State 9, Omaha 0 (5 inn.)
How It Happened
- The Jackrabbits jumped out to an early lead in the first inning of play Saturday. Peyton Daugherty led off with a single to center field, while Emma Osmundson and Cylie Halvorson filled the bases with back-to-back walks. Kelsey Lennox stepped up and plated them all with a grand slam to right center. SDSU led 4-0 after one.
- SDSU added another five runs in the second. Halvorson and Lenox hit two consecutive homers. Halvorson's plated three. The Jackrabbits extended their lead 9-0.
- Taylor Johnson singled to lead off in the second and Lexi Burkhardt singled to open the fifth, but both runners were stranded. SDSU forced a second game with a 9-0 win in five innings.

- The Jackrabbits tallied 10 hits to Omaha's three.
- Izzy Eltze finished 1-for-2 with a single in the first.
- Burkhardt also finished 1-for-2, while Johnson went 1-for-1.
- Sydney Hampton made the start in the circle. She falls to 6-12 on the year.
- Kamryn Meyer came in for relief in the first and pitched 1.1 innings before Hampton reentered. Meyer tallied the only strikeout.
Game 2: South Dakota State 4, Omaha 2
How It Happened
- SDSU struck in the second and scored the first runs of the game. Jocelyn Carrillo doubled to left center in the leadoff spot. She crossed home first for the Jackrabbits on a double from Lindsey Culver two at-bats later. Culver then scored on a sac fly from Cheyanne Masterson to take a 2-0 edge.
- SDSU extended the lead to 3-0 in the third. Daugherty and Osmundson hit back-to-back doubles. Osmundson's plated Daugherty for the run.
- Lynsey Tucker recorded Omaha's first hit in the top of the fourth, while Johnson ripped a double to left field. The Mavericks filled the bases with two outs, but SDSU ended the inning with a foul ball catch by Allison Yoder.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Culver homered down the left field line to extend the SDSU lead to 4-0.
- The Mavericks broke their scoreless streak in the top of the sixth inning. Eltze led off the inning laying down a bunt for a single. Jamie White capitalized on the Omaha base runner and blasted a two-run bomb down the left field line. White's homer cut the SDSU lead to two.
- Omaha put two runners on base with no outs adding pressure to SDSU. Allison Helton led off with a walk to start the seventh inning followed by a single by Janae Cameron. The Jackrabbits managed three straight outs to hold on to the 4-2 win for the championship.

- Saturday's championship marked the first time the Mavericks played in a Summit League Championship game.
- White's homer marks the fifth of the season for the junior third baseman. She finished the game 1-for-3.
- Tucker, Johnson, Allison Helton, and Janae Cameron each added a hit.
- Sydney Nuismer made the start in the circle and retired two batters. She finishes the year 4-8.
- Meyer, Tucker, Johnson, and White were named All-Tournament Team.
- Meyer tossed a no-hitter to down North Dakota in Omaha's opening game of the tournament. She finished with 12 strikeouts over 12.1 innings of work.
- Tucker and Johnson recorded three hits over the four games. Johnson also stepped up defensively for the Mavericks in right field with big plays thrown out at home.
- White finished with two hits and three RBI.
