OMAHA, Neb. – The Mavericks return to action this weekend following a week off and head to Brookings, South Dakota to take on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. The teams will play a pair of doubleheaders beginning at noon on both Saturday and Sunday.

Leading Off
- The Mavericks are sitting fourth in the Summit League standings following their split with North Dakota to open conference play. Last week was Omaha's bye and jump back into action at the league leading SDSU.
- Kamryn Meyer was named the Summit League Pitcher of the Week following Omaha's series with North Dakota. She posted a career-best 13 strikeouts in the series opener and closed the weekend with another 11 vs. the Fighting Hawks. Meyer gave up only one hit in each outing.
- Izzy Eltze went 4-for-4 at the plate in game one vs. the Hawks. She tallied a double, two RBI, and one run in the meeting. She is batting .375 to lead Omaha this season.
- Allison Helton hit a three-run homer helping Omaha to a 4-0 win vs. North Dakota to open the series. She now has two homers on the year, both at Connie Claussen Field, and leads the Mavericks.
- Lynsey Tucker is 6-for-7 on stolen bases this season. She is on a three-game streak tallying one stolen base in the last three Omaha games.
- Alexa Sedlak is finding her groove at the plate and is on a two game hitting streak. She went 1-for-1 vs. Northern Colorado and 1-for-1 vs. North Dakota.
- As a team, the Mavericks recorded four stolen bases vs. North Dakota in game two of the series for a single-game high. Izzy Eltze and Emily Klosterman each recorded a career-best two steals in the meeting.
Scouting the South Dakota State Jackrabbits
South Dakota State enters the weekend a perfect 8-0 in Summit League action and a 23-4 overall on the year. The Jackrabbits are riding a 10-game win streak after sweeping Northern Colorado at the
Connie Claussen Classic and conference opponents Kansas City and Western Illinois. SDSU suffered losses to Northern Iowa, Kansas, Wichita State, and Iowa State this year. As a team, the Jackrabbits are hitting .315 on the season, which leads the Summit League and is 29th in the country.
Series History
Omaha leads the all-time series 72-23-1 vs. SDSU. The Mavericks and Jackrabbits last met in 2019 for a three-game conference series in Omaha. SDSU took all three games vs. Omaha. In the final game of the series, the Jackrabbits put up 13 runs. The Mavericks got three of their own.
