DENVER, Colo. – Senior
Matt Hulme set a school record with his 16
th doubles victory of the season in Omaha's 6-1 loss at Denver on Friday afternoon.
The Mavericks are now 10-13 overall and 1-2 in conference play this season while the Pioneers improve to 11-3 (2-0 Summit League).
Doubles Play
Hulme and
Abdoul Ouattara tallied a 6-3 win in the No. 1 spot while the Pioneers grabbed victories in the No. 2 and 3 spots to post the doubles point.
Singles Play
Hulme garnered the lone singles victory for the Mavericks. The senior won his first set 6-3 before adding a narrow 7-6 decision over Matt Summers in the second set to earn the straight-set victory. Ouattara bounced from a 6-2 loss in the first set with a 6-2 victory of his own in the next set over Mattia Ros, but the senior fell 6-1 in the deciding third set.
