COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Omaha men's tennis team fell 5-2 against Northern Arizona on Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Mavericks fall to 10-14 on the year while the Lumberjacks improve to 6-7.
Doubles Play
Matt Hulme and
Abdoul Ouattara earned a 4-3 victory in the No. 1 spot while Northern Arizona tallied wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to collect the doubles point.
Singles Play
Hulme posted a straight-set victory over Eban Straker-Meads in the No. 1 spot to tie the match at one. Northern Arizona responded with three consecutive wins in the No. 6, No. 4 and No. 5 matches to clinch the victory over the Mavericks and take a 4-1 lead.
Hugo Piles Ballester dropped his first set before fighting back to win the second and third sets to get the victory over Chris Steele in the No. 2 spot.
