CHICAGO, Ill. – The Omaha men's tennis team fell 5-2 at DePaul on Friday afternoon in Chicago.
The Mavericks drop to 10-15 on the season while the Blue Demons improve to 12-6.
Doubles Play
The two squads split the No. 2 and No. 3 matches before
Matt Hulme and
Abdoul Ouattara clinched the doubles point for Omaha with a slim 7-6 victory in the No. 1 spot.
Singles Play
The Blue Demons posted a win in the No. 4 match to tie it up at one while Hulme collected a two-set victory to give Omaha the 2-1 advantage. DePaul responded by winning the next four singles matches to earn the 5-2 victory over the Mavericks. Ouattara won his first set in the No. 2 spot and
Alvaro Quintana tallied a first set win in No. 5 but neither could hold on for the victory.
