OMAHA, Neb. – The Mavericks open conference action at home this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders vs. North Dakota. Both teams are looking to rebound off a couple losses and get an early lead in the Summit League standings.

Leading Off
- Omaha won its first home opener since the 2016 season with a win over Northern Colorado last Friday. The Mavericks downed the Bears 10-2 in six innings. It also marked their first win at Connie Claussen Field.
- Allison Helton hit the first homer at the new stadium in the first inning of Friday's contest. She sent the ball over the center field fence to score her and Lynsey Tucker for the first runs of the game.
- Sydney Nuismer hit a three-run bomb in the sixth inning with a homer to left field. She extended the Mavericks' lead to 7-2.
- Taylor Johnson followed up Nuismer later in the inning with a walk-off three-run double to secure the 10-2 win over UNC.
- Nuismer and Johnson's three RBI marked career-bests for both players.
- Through 19 games, Tucker leads Omaha hitting .340 on the season. She has 16 hits, one double, and nine runs on the year.
- Lexi Burkhardt and Allison Helton also have 16 hits on the year. Helton leads Omaha with five doubles, while both players have a homer this season.
- Nuismer is splitting time at the plate and in the circle this season. At the plate, the freshman is hitting .636 with seven hits, including one homer, five RBI and two runs. In the circle, she has a 3.78 ERA over six appearances and four complete games.
Series History
- Omaha leads the all-time series with North Dakota, 54-6.
- The Mavericks and Hawks met for a three-game series in 2019. UND took the first game, 3-1, while Omaha took the second, 10-8. The third game went to extras and resulted in an 18-12 loss in the 13th inning for Omaha.
- Janae Cameron finished the third game 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBI and one run scored. Jamie White tallied three hits, while Alexa Sedlak added three RBI and one run.
On Deck
Omaha will play the next five games on the road. The Mavericks will play a four-game series at South Dakota State on April 10-11, and then they travel across town to play Creighton on April 14.
