Omaha hits the road for the first time in nearly a month for a three-game series at Wichita State this weekend. First pitch on Friday is set for 6 p.m. while the Shockers and Mavericks take the diamond at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Scouting the Wichita State Shockers
The Wichita State Shockers come into the weekend with a 9-8 overall record after defeating Kansas State on Tuesday night in Wichita. Corrigan Bartlett is hitting a team-high .409 in 17 starts with six doubles, two homers and 13 RBI. Garrett Kocis is hitting .323 with a team-high nine homers and 24 RBI while Paxton Wallace has two homers and 16 RBI.
Liam Eddy is 1-3 on the mound in five starts on the season with a 5.72 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 28.1 innings. Ryan Stuempfig is 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA in seven relief appearances for the Shockers. Aaron Haase has a team-high five saves in seven relief appearances.
As a team, the Shockers are hitting .273 with 108 runs, 158 hits, 27 doubles, nine triples and 15 home runs in 17 games. The Wichita State pitching staff has a combined ERA of 5.68 with 152 strikeouts while allowing 113 runs, 94 earned, on 163 hits in 149 innings.
