Omaha improves to 8-8 on the year.
"I'm so proud of this team," said head coach
Adam Summitt. " We lost the doubles point and lost a few quick singles matches. We faced multiple match points at line two. The ladies had their backs against a wall. They came back mentally tough and found a way. The team fed off each other and it shows in the results. Extremely proud of them for sticking together and not giving up. We hope to build off this momentum the rest of the year."
Madison Gallegos and
Ines Absisan picked up a 6-3 win in No. 1 doubles, but wins at No. 2 and 3 worked in the Lions favor. With the doubles point, Southeastern Louisiana took a 1-0 lead heading into the singles matches.
The Lions quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead with wins in at the No. 6 and 1 lines. The Mavericks would then rally and win the final four singles for the win.

The match came down to Tiemeyer in the No. 4 spot. She took the first set, 6-1, but fell, 2-6, in the second. The third set was tied 3-3 before Tiemeyer scored three straight to clinch the match for Omaha. The Mavericks escaped with a 4-3 win over the Lions.
