"We battled today," said head coach Adam Summitt. We had two injuries and needed to plug some freshman in. The freshman played great and stepped up when we needed it. We need to continue to get better at closing games, sets, and matches, but that will come. Our goal this week is to be healthy and get some players back on the court as we have two tough matches next week."

The Mavericks return to action with a pair of matches next weekend. Omaha will play at Drake on Friday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. The Mavericks will stay in Des Moines, Iowa to play Grand Canyon Saturday, Feb. 27 at noon.
