The Mavericks continue home play with a mid-week meeting vs. the Drake Bulldogs. Omaha looks to snap a seven-game skid, while the Bulldogs will try to win their third straight. Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. in Baxter Arena.

• The Mavericks play two more at home this week before hitting the road for UNLV. First on the slate is Drake on Wednesday, Dec. 8. The Mavericks host Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.

Nick Ferrarini led the Mavericks with a career-high 23 point vs. EWU. He was 8-of-14 from the field with three three-pointers.

Marco Smith also scored a career-high with 11 points.

Darrius Hughes tallied double-figures with 12 points each.
• Omaha scored the most first-half points it has seen all season with 46 points. Ferrarini already had 10 at the half.
• The Mavericks tried their third starting lineup of the year vs. Eastern Washington. Hughes and
Felix Lemetti stayed in the rotation, while
Kyle Luedtke,
Devin Evans, and Smith got the nod over the weekend.
• Luedtke scored a career-high 21 points vs. SIUE despite the 75-65 loss to the Cougars. He was 6-of-9 from the field and 6-of-9 from the line. He hit three from long range.
• Omaha went down 31 to SIUE, but used a 21-0 run in the second half to get within six. Late free throws helped clinch the Cougar win.
• Despite the loss at Purdue two weeks ago, Hughes notched a season-high 13 points. It marked his first double-figure performance of the year and was just two points shy of matching his career-high.
• Luedtke opened the season with three straight games continuing his streak from last season. He recorded double-figures in the final two games of 2020-21 and opened 2021-22 with three more. He scored 10 points in back-to-back games vs. Hastings and at Ball State. He then poured in a career-high 16 points at Kansas State.

Derrin Hansen enters his 17th season at the helm. He has a 249-242 career record leading the Mavericks.
• The 2021-22 season is the 109th overall in program history and the 11th of the Mavericks' Division I era. All-time, the program is 1,203-1,228.
Scouting the Drake Bulldogs
The Bulldogs enter Wednesday's meeting 5-3 overall after winning their last two games vs. Valparaiso and St. Thomas. Drake also earned wins vs. Coe College, South Dakota, and Richmond to open 2021-22 action with a win streak.
Tremell Murphy leads the Bulldogs with 12.1 ppg and is shooting over 53 percent from the field and 43 percent from long range. Murphy notched a season-high 18 points in back-to-back games vs. Richmond and Belmont. He also grabs 5.9 rpg. Tuck DeVries follows closely behind with 12 ppg, while ShanQuan Hemphill.
Head coach Darian DeVries has been at the helm for four seasons. He sits at 75-32 overall.
All-Time Against Drake
Drake leads the all-time series 9-1. Omaha's lone win was back in the 2017-18 season. The Mavericks took a 75-73 edge. The Bulldogs took a win in last season's meeting.
