Omaha signees (3)
Marra Cramer | Infield | Liberty, Mo. | Liberty High School
As a senior, Cramer earned First-Team All-District, All-Conference, and All-State honors. She played all four years at second base and led her team to a winning record in her final season as a Bluejay.
Heard on Cramer: "Marra brings tremendous speed and athleticism to both sides of the ball. Defensively she can be an asset in both the infield and the outfield. Offensively she can hit for power and average, with her speed constantly causing issues for opposing defenses. Marra has experience playing at the elite levels with the Aces Fast pitch program and understands what it takes to be successful at a high level. Marra is excellent in the classroom and will contribute to the championship culture at Omaha Softball."
Cramer on Omaha: "I chose Omaha Softball because I feel like I will really fit in and continue to grow as a person and player."
Ella Dalton | Outfield | Elkhorn, Neb. | Elkhorn High School
Dalton competed in basketball, softball, and track at Elkhorn High School. She earned First-Team All-State honors all four years in softball. As a freshman, Dalton and the Antlers won the NSAA Class-B State Softball Championship and were runners-up the following season in the Class-A Championship. She led her team to three straight district championships, earning Second-Team Super-State honors in her final two seasons with Elkhorn.
Heard on Dalton: "Ella is an in-state talent that we feel very fortunate to add to our Omaha Softball program. She is outstanding in the classroom and brings great competitiveness to the field. Her speed and ability to get a great jump on the ball makes her a big weapon in the outfield. At the plate, she can swing for power, average, and has the speed to go short game at times too. We are excited to watch what Ella will add to our softball family over the next 4 years."
Dalton on Omaha: "I choose UNO because of the amazing facilities; I was comfortable with the coaching staff, and it was close to home."
Ava Rongisch | Outfield | Omaha, Neb. | Millard West High School
Rongisch was named Metro Coaches Association Freshman of the Year and helped the Wildcats to a 4th place finish at the NSAA Class-A Softball Championship. As a sophomore and junior, Rongisch earned Second-Team All-State and Super-State honors. As a senior she earned First Team honors in both categories.
Heard on Rongisch: "Ava is the type of in-state student-athlete that we want to continue building our program. She is excellent in the classroom, outstanding as a teammate, and can be a difference maker on the field. Ava has played club ball at the highest levels with the Nebraska Gold program and comes from an exceptionally good Millard West high school program. She understands the culture and work ethic it takes to win at a championship level. Ava can change games both at the plate and with her glove in the outfield. We look forward to her joining Omaha Softball."
Rongisch on Omaha: "I chose to play softball for Omaha because I believe the coaching staff is building a strong program and I'm very excited to be a part of it!"
