The Omaha women's basketball team will head west to Ogden, Utah to take on the Weber State Wildcats Sunday. The fourth of a five-game road trip to kick off the 2021-22 season is set to tip off at Dee Events Center at 2 p.m. CT. The Mavericks are coming off a 81-56 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks, Natalie Bartle led Omaha on the offensive end in that contest with 18 points to go along with her seven rebounds.

- Omaha traveled to Lawrence, Kansas Wednesday to take on the Kansas Jayhawks falling 81-56. Natalie Bartle scored a team-high 18 points, the most of her Maverick career, while Mariah Murdie joined her in double-digits with 11 points.
- The Mavericks found some success from long range against the Jayhawks draining six three pointers including three from Katie Keitges and two from Grace Cave giving them both career-high point totals with nine and eight points respectively.
- Omaha shot a season-best 41.2% (21-of-51) from the field and outrebounded Kansas 33-24.
- The Mavericks have been sharing the load the past two games with 20 and 26 points respectively coming from the bench. The Mavericks have also been led in scoring by different players in each of their three games with Murdie, Alexis Pratt and Bartle each leading the charge.
- Omaha was tabbed eighth in the Summit League Preseason Poll. The Mavericks finished last season 7-13 overall with a 4-8 league finish. They earned the eighth seed in the Summit League Tournament last spring and advanced to the Championship game before falling to South Dakota.
- Head coach Carrie Banks is in her second season at the helm of the Mavericks program.
Scouting the Weber State Wildcats
Weber State is coming off a 44-62 loss to Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. The Wildcats opened their season at home with a 72-57 victory over an Omaha Summit League foe, North Dakota. They are led in scoring by Jadyn Matthews who is averaging 14 points a contest.
Head coach Velaida Harris is in her fourth season at the helm of the Weber State program. The Wildcats finished 2-20 last season and were picked to finish 11th in the 2021-22 Big Sky preseason poll.
All-Time Against Weber State
This wil be the second ever contest between the Mavericks and Wildcats. Omaha won the only meeting between the two teams on January 8 1982, 66-65 in overtime in Ogden, Utah.
