OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks host South Dakota State and South Dakota this weekend for their final home stand of the year. Omaha will host second-place SDSU on Friday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. followed by South Dakota on Sunday, Oct. 31. The Mavericks and Coyotes currently sit tied for third in the team standings and are both battling for a postseason run this weekend. Omaha picked up a pair of shutout wins on the road last weekend at North Dakota State and North Dakota. They look to make their second straight Summit League Tournament appearance following the regular season finale this weekend.

- Andrea Daves set a new career-best with a pair of goals vs. the Bison. She scored the game winner in the 25th minute and capped the four goal win with her second in the 72nd minute.
- The Mavericks posted 11 total points in the win at UND. They netted four goals and had three different players record an assist. It marks a season-high for the team.
- Omaha will honor nine seniors following Sunday's match. Andrea Daves, Margaret LaVigne, Rachel Thigpen, Brylie Meyer, Kailtyn Guhl, Avarie Howard, Carly Cameron, Leah Kirchner, and Hannah Heinemann will all log their final match at Caniglia Field.
Scouting the South Dakota Jackrabbits
The Jackrabbits sit second in the league standings and have clinched a spot in the Summit League Tournament. They have the best overall record in the league sitting at 14-2-1. SDSU is 5-1-1 in league action. The lone loss of the season is to South Dakota last weekend. The Jackrabbits also played to a draw with Oral Roberts earlier this season. As a team, SDSU holds its opponents to the fewest goals scored this season with a .59 opponent scoring average. The Jackrabbits have only allowed 10 goals this season.
Jackrabbits to Watch
- Maya Hansen is tied for first on the league leaderboards with 13 goals scored this season. She adds three assists for 29 total points this year for second overall in the league. The junior forward netted two vs. Augustana, Idaho State, and Morningside in non-conference action. She also went on a six match scoring streak from Oct. 1-17.
- Avery Murdzek adds 17 points for SDSU on five goals and seven assists, while Cece Limongi has 16 points from six goals and four assists. Two other Jackrabbits add double-figure points on the year.
- Jocelyn Tanner has made 13 starts in goal and logged over 1,100 minutes. She boasts a .61 goals against average and a .849 save percentage. She is 10-2-1 overall with eight shutouts.
Scouting the South Dakota Coyotes
The Coyotes are 10-3-2 overall and are tied third in the league standings with Omaha at a 5-2-0 league record. Their two losses in league play were to Oral Roberts and South Dakota State. With a 2-1 win last weekend, USD handed the Jackrabbits their first league loss of the year. South Dakota sits second as a team with a .60 opponent scoring average. They've given up the fewest goals this season at nine.
Coyotes to Watch
- Jordan Centineo leads the Coyotes with 14 points this season on six goals and two assists. She notched a hat trick on Oct. 17 at North Dakota State helping USD to a 5-0 win vs. the Bison. She has three game winners on the year. Centineo adds 18 shots and 11 shots on goal.
- Alexis Mitchell has 13 points on six goals and one assist. She leads the Coyotes with 25 shots and 12 shots on goal.
- Emma Harkleroad has made 13 starts in in goal for USD. She has given up only seven goals this season and posts a .55 goals against average. The fifth-year goalkeeper has a .894 save percentage with 59 saves this season.

The Mavericks lead the all-time series 7-6-4 vs. the Jackrabbits. The teams played to 0-0 draws three times last season. Omaha prevailed in the Summit League quarterfinals winning on penalty kicks, 3-1. The Mavericks lead the Coyotes 19-3-1 in the all-time meetings. Omaha took a 1-0 overtime win in game one and a 1-0 regulation win in game two of last season's series.
