ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Mavericks traveled to St. Thomas for a league contest Saturday afternoon. The Tommies earned their first win with a 1-0 shutout vs. the Mavericks.
With the loss, Omaha falls to 4-8-1 overall and 2-2-0 in league play.
How It Happened
- Omaha dominated Saturday's match despite the loss to St. Thomas. Kenji Mboma Dem and Thore Boehm put two shots on target in the first six minutes of action.
- The Tommies put their first attempt away for a goal in the 12th minute. Faris Colic was set up by Sam Holton who tallied an assist.
- Stevie Siy recorded the next shot on target for Omaha in the 25th minute, while Mauricio Felix-Alvarado struck in the 39th minute for a fourth attempt on target, but it was stopped by Niklas Martensson.
- Hugo Kametani had one more failed attempt for the Mavericks in the 45th minute, but the Tommies took a 1-0 lead into the break.
- Out of halftime, Ed Gordon had a chance to knot the match 1-1 in the 47th minute, but Martensson made his fifth stop. St. Thomas responded with its second shot on goal in the 54th minute. Nathanael Sallah recorded his first save of the match.
- A little more than 30 seconds later, Kametani drilled his second shot on goal but was unsuccessful for Omaha.
- Fitzroy Cummings and Neville Morgan each tallied an attempt before time expired. St. Thomas held on for a 1-0 win.

- Kametani tallied four shots with a team-leading two shots on goal.
