Omaha moved up in both college hockey polls following its weekend sweep of Maine at Baxter Arena.
The Mavericks (3-1), winners of three consecutive games, jumped from No. 17 to 13 in the USCHO.com rankings Monday while also sliding up a spot to No. 14 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
Omaha finished fifth among teams from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference in both sets of ratings. There were a season-high six teams from the league ranked in the USCHO.com poll this week.
The No. 13/14 Mavericks play host to unranked Alaska (1-1) in a nonconference series this weekend as they continue their 10-game season-opening homestand. Friday's game begins at 7:07 p.m. The series wraps up with a 4:07 p.m. finale on Sunday.
