ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Omaha women's soccer team collected a 4-0 shutout in an exhibition win over Missouri Western on Friday night.
"It felt incredible to be back on the field against another team after 456 days," said head coach
Tim Walters. "Obviously, there was a lot of energy and intensity, and my hope is that we can build off that going forward into the Summit League season."
The Mavericks held a 2-0 lead at the break with an own goal and a score by
Regan Zimmers, assisted by
Grace Ostergaard.
Andrea Daves and
Sophia Green scored goals in the second half to extend the Omaha lead to 4-0.
Grace Crockett tallied an assist on the goal by Daves.
