The Omaha women's basketball team continues Summit League action and plays its home debut vs. South Dakota State on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15-16. Both games are set for a 3 p.m. tipoff at Baxter Arena.

Scouting the South Dakota State Jackrabbits
South Dakota State is 9-2 (2-0 Summit League) and receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after completing its first Summit League sweep of the season last weekend at Western Illinois. Myah Selland is the league's leading scorer with 19.5 points per game and has been named Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week four times this season.
 
As a team, South Dakota State is scoring 70.8 points per game while 43.1 percent shooting from the field and 30.5 percent from three-point range. The Jackrabbits are grabbing 36.0 boards per game and forcing opponents into 16.5 turnovers per game. Opponents are scoring 63.4 points per game and shooting 38.8 percent from the floor.
 
Head coach Aaron Johnston is in his 22nd season at the helm of South Dakota State with a record of 501-168.
 
All-Time Against South Dakota State
Friday's matchup marks the 76th all-time meeting between Omaha and South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits lead the all-time series over the Mavericks, 45-30.
