Murdie Garners All-Summit Second Team Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League office announced its postseason awards today, with Mariah Murdie being named to the All-Summit Second Team.

Murdie, who earned All-Summit Honorable Mention honors as a freshman last season, has appeared in all 29 games with 24 starts and leads the team with 11.1 points per game. The Meridan, Kan., native also leads the team in field goal percentage (.528), rebounds (6.0) and blocks per game (1.3). In league play, Murdie averaged 14.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Her blocks per contest also rank fourth and her points per game rank ninth in the league.

This season, Murdie has 17 double-digit scoring efforts with four games of 20 or more points. She also recorded three double-doubles on the year. On Feb. 27 against North Dakota in the home finale, Murdie matched her career-high of 24 points for the second time. The sophomore also had six-straight games in double figures from Jan. 29-Feb. 20.

The No. 8-seeded Mavericks set their sights on The Summit League Championship this Saturday, March 7, at Noon against top-seeded South Dakota. The game will be broadcasted live on MidcoSN and ESPN+. Fans can also listen to Jon Schriner's call on 1180 Zone 2.
