OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha women's basketball meets North Dakota State for the first time this season with a Thursday, Feb. 6, showdown inside Baxter Arena.
OPENING TIP
• The Mavericks aim to erase a six-game skid as the Bison recently fell on the road at Western Illinois.

Mariah Murdie posted her second 20-point effort this season as she led the Mavericks in scoring.
• Murdie leads the team with 9.7 points per game and 6.0 rebounds. In league play, the sophomore averages 13.5 points per game.
• North Dakota State currently sits in sixth place for the league standings while Omaha is in eighth ahead of Purdue Fort Wayne.
• The Mavericks have a league win over Oral Roberts (Jan. 4, 60-54), while the Bison defeated North Dakota (92-82), Denver (85-80, OT) and Purdue Fort Wayne (58-44).

SCOUTING NORTH DAKOTA STATE
North Dakota State is led under Jory Collins, who is in his first season with the program. The Bison are currently 6-15 overall and 3-6 in league action. Omaha has won the last four home meetings against North Dakota State, but the Bison won the most recent meeting 55-48 in Fargo on Feb. 23, 2019.
In the last seven meetings, however, the Mavericks are 6-1 against the Bison. NDSU is led by Michelle Gaislerova, who averages 13.3 points per game and Emily Dietz, who rounds out the double-digit scoring with 12.3 points per game.
