Nathan Reekie recorded his 33
rd career singles victory on Saturday, tying the program record in Omaha's 5-2 win vs. Green Bay in Grand Forks, N.D.
The win moves the Mavericks to 3-3 and is the third consecutive victory for Omaha.
Doubles Play
Alvaro Quintana and
Ethan Henry began the day with a 6-1 victory in No. 3 match while Reekie and
Matt Hulme teamed up to notch a 6-4 victory in No. 1 to clinch the doubles point for the Mavericks.
Singles Play
Hulme opened singles action with a two-set victory (6-2, 6-5) victory in No. 3, followed by
Davis Lawley with a 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 4 court to give the Mavericks a quick 3-0 lead. Green Bay took the No. 5 match to get within 3-1, but the Mavericks got the point back when Ouattara posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory in No. 1. The Phoenix won the final singles match on No. 6 court to clinch Omaha's 5-2 victory.
