Dargy Named Academic All-Summit

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha junior Emma Dargy was one of nine players named to the 2019 Academic All-Summit League softball team today.  

Dargy carries a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average in computer science.  It is the first time she has named to the academic all-league team.  She was named to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll and the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence as both a freshman and a sophomore.

It's the second award of the year for the native of LaVista, Neb.  She was named a member of the All-Summit League Second Team after appearing in all 47 games, hitting .254 with three home runs.  She was second on the team with 14 runs batted in.

To be eligible for The Summit League Academic All-League Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
