TULSA, Okla. – The top-seeded Omaha baseball team is set to take on No. 3 seed Oral Roberts for The Summit League Championship crown tomorrow (May 25) at 11 a.m.
Omaha (30-21-1) recently defeated the Golden Eagles (28-25) by a score of 3-2 on Friday, May 24. With the win, the Mavericks were able to rest and advance through the winner's bracket, while the Golden Eagles played No. 2 South Dakota State in an elimination game, where they defeated the Jackrabbits 4-0.
WHAT'S ON THE LINE
- Omaha needs to win just one game to clinch the tournament crown and advance to its first NCAA Division I Regional.
- Oral Roberts would need to beat Omaha twice on Saturday to clinch the tournament crown.

- Omaha handed Oral Roberts just its fourth loss in 67 Summit League Championship contests (63-4).

LAST TIME OUT
With an Oral Roberts runner on third with two outs, Omaha held on and closed the game on a 6-3 putout. On the mound,
Joey Machado tossed 7.0 innings and improved to 6-2 on the season. The sophomore had three strikeouts with just two runs allowed in the first inning. He also had four walks with six hits allowed, while his last 6.0 innings were shutout ball.
Cal Hehnke notched his seventh save of the season, as he came in the final inning with just one hit allowed.
The trio of
Parker Smejkal,
Jack Lombardi and
Breyden Eckhout notched two hits apiece. Smejkal and Eckhout also had an RBI.
Thomas DeBonville's lone hit was an RBI triple to put the Mavericks on the board in the fourth.
