NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Omaha men's golf team shot a final round team score of 307 to tie for ninth at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate hosted by Lipscomb on Tuesday.
The Mavericks posted a 36-hole team score of 599 at the rain-shortened event, tying them with Belmont. USC Upstate won the tournament with a score of 573. Southern Mississippi was second at 576, and Samford finished third at 582.
Witchayapat Sinsrang led the team in scoring, shooting a final round score of 74, three over par, for a total of 146. He tied for 19th in the field of 87 golfers.
Nick Kagy was second on the team and tied for 26th with a total score of 149 that included a final round of 76. He was one stroke ahead of teammate
Thirawat Chantrakantanond who shot 79 on Tuesday to finish at 150, good for a tie for 30th.
Cole Christain fired a 78 in the closing round to finish at 155, putting him in a tie for 57th.
Sam Musch closed the scoring for the Mavericks with a final tally of 156 that included a second-round card of 80.
The Mavericks will take part in the one-day Husker Invitational at Firethorn on Saturday, April 13 before preparing for the Summit League Championship on April 28-30 in Newton, Kan.
