OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's tennis program fell 6-1 to in-state foe Creighton Saturday at Westside High School.

In doubles action, Wilson and
Savanna Crowell picked up a 6-4 win at No. 2, while
Ines Absisan and
Emily Behling helped the Mavericks clinch the point with a 6-2 win at No. 3.
Creighton went on to sweep singles play as Wilson fell 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 and Absisan fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. At No. 3,
Natalie Lorentz was topped in straight sets (6-2, 6-2), while

Emily Behling dropped a 6-4, 6-0 match and Crowell had a 6-0, 6-3 decision in favor of Creighton at No. 6.
"It was a tough loss," said head coach
Adam Summitt. "We started off hot in doubles and played great. We made adjustments with the wind and it helped. Credit to Creighton, as they played mentally tough tennis today. They were able to put the balls in play and we beat ourselves. Creighton was not going to miss shots and the score showed that. We will make better adjustments going into our last few matches."
The Mavericks now turn their focus to a pair of Summit League matches to close out the season. On Friday, April 12, Omaha plays host to North Dakota for a 3 p.m. first serve. The following Wednesday, April 17, the Mavericks take on South Dakota, also at 3 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to take place at Koch Tennis Center.
