PAPILLION, Neb. – The Omaha baseball program dropped a 6-2 mid-week decision to Creighton at Werner Park Tuesday afternoon.
The Mavericks (25-14-1) fall to 0-5 in mid-week games as the Bluejays improve to 26-10 overall. Creighton had eight extra-base hits to the team's nine total, while the Mavericks had six.

Creighton's Parker Upton finished 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, while Will Robertson had a homer with two RBI on one hit. For the Mavericks,
Brett Bonar tallied his fourth homer of the season (2-for-4), while
Parker Smejkal had two hits in the game.
On the mound, Creighton's Dylan Tebrake earned the win (1-1) with 4.0 innings pitched. John Sakowski had four strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work for his second save of the season.
Tyler Daugherty fell to 1-3 on the season and
Andrew Brighton had a team-high three strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work.
INSIDE THE INNINGS
Creighton opened the game with a two-shot homer to right field with two outs in the top of the first. Another Bluejay home run made it 4-0 in the second. Bonar was able to get the Mavericks on the board as he launched a solo-shot to right field in the fourth. Creighton put one out of the park for the third time later in the seventh and increased Omaha's deficit at 5-1.
The Mavericks, however, showed some momentum on a double from ThomasDeBonville to right field in the bottom of the seventh. An inning later, Omaha loaded the bases with just one out, but was unable to plate any runners through. Creighton's final run happened in the top of the ninth, as a double down the left field line scored the last runner for the 6-2 final.
