OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha track & field team returns to action at the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State on Friday and Saturday, April 12-13.
Competition begins at 1 p.m. each day from Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kan.
The Mavericks got a late start to the outdoor season, opening at the Mizzou Spring Open on April 6. That didn't impede the performance of three Mavericks who earned marks that ranked in the top 10 in school history.

Ivanna Uribe took third in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:51.47, the fifth-best mark in the event in school history.
Lori Vedder posted the sixth-best javelin mark in school history with a throw of 123-08 (37.70).
In other events,
Lauren Houston took second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.05.
In the field,
Cassady Sunderman took sixth in the high jump with a personal best mark of 5-03 ¼ (1.61). Teammate
Sidney Radziunas hit the same mark in one more attempt and finished eighth.
Anna Edet took fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 163-00 (49.69).
Following competition in Wichita, the Mavericks will head west to a pair of meets in Southern California. They'll take part in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate at Long Beach State on Thursday, April 18. On April 18-19, they'll also compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific.
