Omaha Visits UMKC for Midweek Tussle

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha visits UMKC for a single game on Tuesday, April 2.  First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at the Urban Youth Academy in Kansas City, Mo.  Links to live stats are available on OMavs.com.

Leading Off
•    Omaha is 3-29 overall (1-5 Summit League) this season after going 1-2 against North Dakota last weekend.
•    The Mavericks split a doubleheader on Saturday, dropping game one 3-1 before rallying for a 10-8 victory in the nightcap.
•    UNO then fell 18-12 in 13 innings on Sunday.
•    Jamie White and Janae Cameron each hit over .500 this weekend against UND.  White hit .538 with a double and four RBI, while Cameron hit .500 with three doubles and five RBI.
•    Emma Dargy went 5-for-12 with two RBI and scored four runs.
•    For the season, Dargy leads the Mavericks at the plate with a .302 average (26-for-74) with eight doubles, three homers, and 11 RBI.
•    Cameron raised her average to .266 with five doubles, two homers, and 13 RBI.
•    Alexa Sedlak is hitting .244 with four doubles, two homers, and 10 RBI.
•    Natalie Mostek leads the team with six stolen bases.
•    Sydney Hampton has a team-low 5.76 ERA in 75.1 innings.  Hampton is 1-12 with a save and 38 strikeouts.
•    Ryanne Millington is 2-10 with a 6.89 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 82.1 innings.
•    Halley Jones has made 22 appearances with a 0-7 record and 24 strikeouts.
•    Omaha finished the 2018 season 21-30 overall and 5-9 in the Summit League.
•    Amanda Eberhart enters her first season at the helm of the Omaha softball program.
•    The Mavericks were picked fifth in the Preseason Summit League Coaches Poll.
•    Senior Natalie Mostek and sophomore Sydney Hampton were recognized as Players to Watch in the Summit League.
•    This season's roster is comprised of 12 returning letterwinners, including seven upperclassmen, and 10 newcomers.

Scouting the UMKC Kangaroos
UMKC is 20-15 overall (1-5 WAC) this season after dropping a three-game series to Utah Valley last weekend.  The Kangaroos fell 8-5 on Friday before losing both games Saturday, 9-8 and 7-4.

S Garcia leads UMKC with a .387 average with 10 doubles, a triple, four home runs, and 20 RBI.  C Onstad adds a .370 average with seven doubles, a triple, three homers, and a team-leading 25 RBI.  L Lombardini is hitting .385.  M Rollow and F Willis have combined to steal 29 bases on 33 attempts.

Mia Hoveland leads the team with eight wins.  Kailyn Packard is 6-5 with four saves this season.  Packard holds a 2.73 ERA with 99 strikeouts in 100 innings pitched.

Omaha continues its Summit League road stretch with a visit to South Dakota.  The Mavericks will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 6, starting at noon, followed by a single game on Sunday at 11 a.m.
