OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha softball team continues its six-game homestand this weekend, hosting North Dakota for a three-game set.  The Mavericks and Fighting Hawks play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 30, starting at noon, followed by a single game on Sunday, March 31, at 11 a.m.  Links to live stats are available on OMavs.com.

Leading Off
•    Omaha is 2-27 on the season after dropping a three-game series at home last weekend to South Dakota State.
•    The Mavericks lost both ends of a twin bill last Friday to the Jackrabbits, 4-1 and 8-1.  UNO then fell 13-3 on Saturday to wrap up the series.
•    Freshman Janae Cameron led the Mavericks over the weekend with a.571 average (4-for-7) with a double, home run and three RBI.
•    Junior Emma Dargy hit .400 (4-for-10) with a double and a homer.
•    For the season, Dargy leads the Mavericks at the plate with a .284 average (21-for-74) with seven doubles, three homers and nine RBI.
•    Freshman Jamie White is tied with Dargy for the team-lead with three homers and nine RBI.
•    Cameron has hit two homers and driven in eight so far this season.
•    Senior Natalie Mostek leads the team with five stolen bases.
•    Sophomore Sydney Hampton and freshman Ryanne Millington have made 21 appearances each.
•    Hampton has a team-low 5.52 ERA with 37 strikeouts.  Millington owns a 7.23 ERA with 16 strikeouts.
•    Sophomore Halley Jones has made 14 appearances with a 0-5 record and 22 strikeouts.
•    Omaha finished the 2018 season 21-30 overall and 5-9 in the Summit League.
•    Amanda Eberhart enters her first season at the helm of the Omaha softball program.
•    The Mavericks were picked fifth in the Preseason Summit League Coaches Poll.
•    Senior Natalie Mostek and sophomore Sydney Hampton were recognized as Players to Watch in the Summit League.
•    This season's roster is comprised of 12 returning letterwinners, including seven upperclassmen, and 10 newcomers.

Scouting the North Dakota Fighting Hawks
North Dakota is 15-22 overall this season and have not played a Summit League game yet.  The Fighting Hawks have lost five straight after dropping a pair of games at New Mexico on Tuesday.

Kayleen Schneider leads UND with a .354 average with seven doubles and 12 RBI.  Jocelyn Kirk and Dani Romero lead the team with four home runs each, while Marina Marzolino has driven in a team-high 19 runs.

Jannay Jones leads the team with a 7-8 record and 2.76 ERA with 57 strikeouts.  Emily Rosas is 5-6 with a 4.31 ERA and 32 strikeouts.
